What is your booking process?
Once you have decided you would like to hold your wedding at Stokes Farm Barn, we can hold your date for up to two weeks while you confirm your ceremony. We will draw up your contract and deposit invoice for 15% which is due on receipt.
What time do we have use from and until?
You are able to access the barn from 8am on the day of your Wedding. Guests are permitted from 12pm. We require all guests to leave by 12.30am. In the case that the barn is not in use the previous day, you are able to set up between 12pm and 3pm. If any suppliers require early access, this can be discussed.
How do we book our ceremony?
You will need to book your legal ceremony with the Registrars at Wokingham Borough Council. They will confirm your ceremony time and all correspondence leading up to your wedding will be directly with the registrars.
What are your terms & conditions and cancellation policy?
You can click here to see our terms & conditions and cancelation policy. We also offer a full 30-day refundable deposits, offering you complete peace of mind during the booking process.
When do we pay?
We require a 15% deposit upon booking. A further 15% is due one year before your wedding date; 30% 6 months before your wedding date, and the final balance (reflecting your final guest numbers) is due two weeks before.
Do you have a minimum spend?
We don’t have a minimum spend, but require a minimum of 30 guests from Monday to Thursday and 50 guests on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
How many guests can you accommodate?
We can host up to 150 guests in the barn.
Do you have parking on-site?
Yes, our carpark can hold about 45 cars with an ‘overflow’ carpark available when necessary.
Can we hold our civil ceremony at the barn?
Yes, the barn is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships.
What happens in the case of rain?
If it rains or is not great weather, we will remove the chairs from the main barn and hold the drinks reception in there. There is plenty of space for our mobile bar and for your guests to mingle.
How many toilets do you have?
We have one disabled toilet with baby changing facilities, 3 cubicles in the ladies and 3 urinals and 1 cubicle in the gents.
Is the barn wheelchair accessible?
The main barn and the lower barn are fully accessible. The balcony bar upstairs is the only area that is not; however, we will take care of any guests who are unable to get upstairs, running drinks down to them.
Are all the lights included?
Yes, all of our lighting is included. We have spot lights throughout the barn, fairy lights on most beams and our gorgeous pendant lighting over the bar! We also work with an external lighting supplier who offers bespoke additional fairy light options which can be added.
Do you have any restrictions on decorations?
We ask you not to use any nails or staples in the wood, just drawing pins if hanging decorations. For bigger installations, we can secure hooks etc. We ask you not to use real candles and the LED flicker candles work well. We don’t allow hay or straw bails or confetti cannons. We ask you to use biodegradable confetti.
Do you have any other restrictions?
We do not allow children in the bar unless accompanied by an adult. All children must be supervised at all times especially near the pond.

Do you provide catering yourselves?
Yes, we have a fantastic in-house catering team, who are dedicated to your wedding day. We are passionate about serving the most delicious meals using excellent quality, locally sourced ingredients.
Can we create a bespoke menu?
Yes! If you would like something that is not on our menu, we can design a menu to suit you.
Can you cater for guests with dietary requirements?
We take all dietary requirements very seriously, and we will ask for all guests’ dietaries no later than 6 weeks before your wedding day to ensure that every dish is adapted to their specific needs.
Can we taste the food?
A menu tasting is included within the Signature and Luxury package. There is an option to add this to the Classic package and Twilight packages. If applicable, you will also be invited to our canape and evening food tasting events.
Can we serve our wedding cake to our guests?
Yes, after you have cut the cake we can slice and serve your wedding cake alongside the evening food with serviettes.
Can we offer our guests a choice in their menu?
You can offer your guests a choice of two starters, mains and desserts if you would like. These must be pre-ordered six weeks in advance and must be written on the reverse of the place names. There is a £5.00 supplement per head.
Do you accept card payments on the bar?
Our balcony bar accepts cash or card payments. If you would like to start a tab, you will need to pay this by the end of the evening. Our bar has ‘pub prices’.
Do you have a corkage option?
If you would like to bring your own wine or bubbles for welcome drinks, table wine or toasts, we charge corkage at £10 per bottle of wine and £13 per bottle of Sparkling wine, Champagne or Prosecco.
Do you serve draught beer?
Yes, we have Rebellion lager, Hazy Pale and IPA on tap – Rebellion is based in Marlow and offers a selection of fantastic beers.
When does the bar open?
The bar opens about 30 minutes after the ceremony finishes, once we ensure all guests have a welcome drink and canapé service has started. The bar closes at midnight.
What size are your tables?
We have 5’ round tables which seat up to 8 guests, 5’6 round tables which seat up to 10 guests and 6’ round tables which seat up to 12 guests, all with crisp table linen. Alternatively, we have banquet style tables (6 x 2’6) which can be dressed in linen or left rustic to complement the interior of the Barn.
Do you have enough chairs?
We have Chiavari chairs included in your wedding package. You can ‘upgrade’ to rustic cross backs if you wish. We have 5 highchairs available.
Do you have a cake stand, cake knife and an easel?
Yes, you are welcome to use our rustic wedding cake stand, cake knife and easel.
Can we bring alcoholic drinks favours?
We charge £2.00 corkage per person based on a 25ml shot bottle. Alternatively, we have favours we can supply for you.
Will we have someone present on the day to oversee our wedding?
Yes, our in-house wedding coordinator will be there throughout your wedding to ensure a smooth running and happy guests.
Can we have a live band / DJ?
Yes, we have some great recommendations or you can choose your own. They must have PAT tested equipment and stay below 93 decibels at all times.
Do you have speakers and a microphone we can use?
Yes, we have PA system and speakers in both rooms, and a microphone for speeches in the lower barn. You can either bring something to play music on if you would like background music, or you can share your playlists with us to play music throughout your day.
We will collect your song choices and playlists before your wedding day, and we will play all the music during your ceremony, as well as manage your background music.
Are we allowed confetti?
Yes, we allow biodegradable confetti outside. We do not allow confetti cannons.
Do you have a list of recommended suppliers?
Yes, we have a list of fantastic suppliers we have been lucky to work with over the years; however you are not tied to anybody and are welcome to source your own suppliers. Please get in touch to have a look.
Can we stay onsite?
We have our Honeymoon Suite on site, available on your wedding night for you both to stay.
Do you have hotels close by?
Yes, we have a list of hotels, some of which offer a discount for Stokes Farm Barn guests. Please get in touch to see the details.
